Rice Bran Extract
Contains antioxidants and fatty acids that can nourish and protect the skin.
What does Rice Bran Extract do for skin?
Rice Bran Extract, rich in antioxidants like ferulic acid, gamma-oryzanol, tocopherols, and tocotrienols, scavenges free radicals, thereby mitigating oxidative stress and photo-aging. Its components, including gamma-oryzanol and phytosterols, exert anti-inflammatory effects by modulating cellular pathways, helping to reduce skin redness and irritation. Lipids within the extract support the skin barrier, improving hydration and reducing transepidermal water loss, while ferulic acid and phytic acid may contribute to skin brightening by inhibiting tyrosinase activity.
Typical concentration: 0.5-5% (most formulas use 1-3%)
Is Rice Bran Extract safe?
